2) Royals Fundraiser Feb 17: Ticket Sales + Donations + Volunteers

Looking for a great way to spend Family Day? The Royals are playing the Everett Silvertips on Feb. 17 at 3:05pm.
⚠️ Don't Forget ⚠️ Tickets are still on the hot lunch website for Feb. 17:
All purchased tickets can be picked up in the front/main office upon request. Otherwise, they will be placed in backpacks the week before the game.

Urgent reminder: We're also looking for donations for Chuck a Puck prizes for the Royals game. Ideally, we will have all donations by Monday, Feb. 10th.
Some popular ideas for donations:
gift certificates to hotels,
restaurants or
sports memorabilia.

Lastly, we are still looking for volunteers to help sell pucks for the Chuck-a-Puck event at the 3:05pm game. .

3) Tuesday, Feb. 11: LEPAC General Meeting (6:30PM)
Come join us for our first LEPAC meeting of 2025, this Tuesday, February 11th from 6:30-8pm in the Learning Commons.
Child-minding may be available. All Lochside parents and caregivers are welcome!
4) URGENT: Only 20 Tickets Left ~ Fernwood Music Bingo (Feb. 12)
The Gr. 5 Grad Committee is holding a Music Bingo night on Wednesday, February 12th at the Fernwood Inn - 1302 Gladstone Ave.
Join them for a night of music, games and prizes at their Valentine's Bingo Night! Doors open at 7:30pm. All Ages Welcome!

5) Don't Forget: Sign Up 8-Week Parenting Course (Feb. 18 to Apr. 22)
A parent shared information with our principal about an upcoming 8-week Parenting Course called, “Sidestepping the Power Struggle”, for parents of children of all ages.
It runs for eight Tuesday evenings, from Feb 18 to Apr 22.
This course will be led by Dr. Allison Rees, an experienced clinician, who has been teaching LIFE Seminars courses, counselling families, and training other professionals here in Victoria for the past 30+ years.

6) SAVE THE DATE: Wild Robot Screening (Mar. 7)
Please save the date for our Grade 5 Grad Wild Robot fundraiser!
Date: March 7
Event: Wild Robot Movie
Location: Lochside Elementary Gym
Time: Doors open 5:30pm, Movie starts at 6:00pm
$5 recommended donation per person.
All children in attendance will be entered in draw to win the Wild Robot book 2 and book 3.

Orders for the next 10 fun lunch dates are open now. Orders will close at 7:00pm on Thursday the week before a given date (example - orders will close at 7:00pm on January 16 for the January 24th fun lunch). If finances prohibit your participation, please contact Principal Takhar.
💜 Fun lunch reminders:
Please make sure to send your kiddo(s) with lunch if you do not plan to purchase fun lunch.
If you do order, it's a good idea to send your kiddo(s) with some options to complement the fun lunch if they are picky eaters.
If your child is absent the day of the fun lunch, please be aware that they may forfeit the lunch, as it may may not keep for long or get donated.
